The biggest problem was the...
- Was there anything you didn't like?During check-in, the staff member at the front desk tried to tell me that the card reader wasn't working and they tried to get me to read my credit card number out loud in a hotel lobby which seems like a privacy issue. I refused to read it out loud. They tried a couple more times to tell me to read it out loud but I kept refusing. Then they told me to run my card through the card reader (which seemed weird because they had just told me the card reader wasn't working). I ran my card and they told me it was declined. So I tried another card and supposedly that one worked. After I checked in, I checked both of my credit card accounts online because of how sketchy the check-in process was. I noticed that my first card (the one they told me was "declined") had gotten charged for the cost of the room. The second card had gotten charged for the temporary hold for incidentals or whatever. Which makes no sense because if the first card was declined, it shouldn't have gotten charged at all, in my mind. I asked about it the next morning and still wasn't given any explanation. The room itself was decent but the floor was dirty. I think the visible dirt had been swept up but if you take a damp tissue and wipe the floor it was extremely filthy. Even the bathroom floor was filthy.. not sure why they don't mop bathroom floors in between all guests.
